Ontario Library Association
Established in 1900, the Ontario Library Association (OLA) holds the distinction of being Canada’s oldest continuously operating library association. With a membership of 5,000, it is also the largest in the country. OLA comprises six divisions that cater to different types of libraries, including college and university libraries, library and information technology, library boards, public libraries, school libraries, and French libraries.

Black Caucus American Library Association
The Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA), established in 1970, advocates for the development and improvement of library services for African Americans and supports the professional growth of African American librarians. Celebrating 50 years, BCALA offers scholarships, hosts the National Conference of African American Librarians, and promotes diversity and inclusion within the library profession.
